  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • 1. Manages Cancer Program accreditation.
  • Maintain accreditation compliance with CoC, NAPRC, NAPBC, and ACR or other oncology service line accreditations
  • Monitor and implement policies and procedures to meet accreditation compliance
  • Educate staff and stakeholders on CoC standards and accreditation process.
  • Acts as the contact person between the cancer program and ACOS
  • Reviews current standards outlined by ACOS.
  • Ensures compliance with standards.
  • Coordinates application and re-accreditation processes. 2. Facilitates cancer program activities.
  • Organize and document agenda for cancer committee and tumor boards meetings.
  • Facilitates cancer program steering committees.
  • Works with cancer committee members, oncologists, and departments with cancer related activities to develop cancer program goals.
  • Acts as a facilitator to bring together key participants in cancer program goal implementation.
  • Compile minutes, track attendance and ensure documentation meets CoC standards 3. Represents MercyOne Northeast Iowa for cancer related community health education and promotion.
  • Coordinates with grant writers to manage fiscal aspects of cancer-related grants
  • Coordinates and implements community health program/education/activities for cancer related patient populations.
  • Assists with liaison activities between MercyOne and local health organizations that serve cancer related patient populations.
  • Public speaking as requested as it pertains to education or event activities.
  • Serves on task forces, committees and teams as requested.
  • Acts as a resource for cancer information. 4. Partners with Marketing team to create marketing materials and marketing campaigns specific to the Cancer Center. 5. Collaborates with the Service Line Director to expand oncology services and provides support for initiatives as needed. 6. Adheres to all safety, infection control and employee health policies and procedures.
  • Attends required safety programs.
  • Appropriately and consistently uses the personal protective equipment required of the job.
  • Knows and can demonstrate departmental emergency procedures for fire, disaster and other emergency situations.
  • Reports and removes unsafe equipment/furniture.
  • Asks for assistance when needed to assure safety for all involved.
  • Maintains a safe working environment and practices safe working habits.
7. Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health's Organizational Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior. 8. Other duties as assigned by leader.
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1. BSN or BA in Health Education, Health Promotion, or Health Management required. 2. Minimum of 2 years oncology-related clinical experience preferred. 3. High language, intermediate math, high reasoning ability. 4. Ability to work with diverse group of people.
