Hours/Week:
School Days, M - F, 3:15 PM - 5:30
PM Reports To:
After School Care Coordinator, Principal Job Goal:
To provide safe, dependable, and caring supervision for students in the after school childcare program while engaging with them through activities, play, and positive interactions.

Qualifications:
Demonstrate interest in and ability to work effectively with young children. Demonstrate emotional maturity, patience, dependability, and professionalism. Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to learn, assist where needed, and take on new responsibilities. Meet all applicable Iowa HHS requirements, including required background checks, training, and all certifications, including First Aid and CPR . Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with children, families, and staff. Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow policies and procedures. Ability to perform the physical duties of the position and actively supervise children indoors and outdoors. Such additional qualifications as the Board or administration may find appropriate.
Performance Responsibilities:
Actively supervise children at all times to ensure their safety and well-being. Recognize and respond appropriately to the individual and developmental needs of children. Treat all children with dignity, respect, patience, and care. Assist the Program Coordinator with planning, implementing, and evaluating program activities. Work cooperatively with the Program Coordinator and other staff to provide a positive childcare and workplace environment. Communicates concerns, needs, and staffing matters appropriately with the Program Coordinator. Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized program space. Follow established procedures for student attendance, sign-in, sign-out, and authorized pick-up. Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator.
