A Program Officer oversees the development of an organization's programs. This may includes staff development, project management, implementation and daily management of activities. May also oversee funds and budgets.

Position Overview We are looking for a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as an Evening Coordinator for our Residential Treatment Programs. As an Evening Coordinator, you will help support the staff and ensure that processes and functions run smoothly and contribute to a healthy treatment culture. Primary Duties Program Continuity and Support:
Provide support to Residential Treatment programs during operations to ensure consistency in expectations, programming, treatment interventions, and daily operations. Serve as a visible leadership presence while helping maintain continuity and communication between day, evening, and overnight shifts.
Operational Support:
Assist programs in maintaining structure, organization, and accountability throughout the shift. Duties may include monitoring program flow, assisting with crisis response, supporting transportation needs, reviewing documentation progress, ensuring completion of assigned tasks, and identifying barriers that may impact program effectiveness.
Training and Development:
Serve as a floor-based trainer and mentor for staff. Assist staff in understanding and implementing CARE principles, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) techniques, agency policies, and trauma-informed practices. Create opportunities for learning through observation, modeling, teaching, and supportive feedback during daily operations.
Coaching and Program Integrity:
Observe program operations and staff interactions to identify strengths, growth opportunities, and teaching moments. Provide informal coaching moments and constructive feedback while reinforcing agency operations and treatment philosophies.
Youth Engagement:
Actively engage with youth to promote relationship-building, emotional regulation, skill development, and positive social interactions. Assist staff and youth in applying CARE principles and TCI techniques to support treatment goals and maintain a therapeutic environment.
Documentation:
Monitor documentation completed by staff and provide reminders, guidance, and support as necessary. Duties may include following up on any concerns, ensuring important information is communicated between shifts, and assisting leadership in identifying trends that may require additional training or support.
Safety and Security:
Conduct routine perimeter checks, vehicle checks, and environmental safety checks to ensure a safe and secure campus. Assist staff in maintaining appropriate supervision standards and responding to safety concerns as they arise.
Treatment Culture:
Promote a therapeutic environment that aligns with the agency's
I.C.A.R.E.
values, CARE principles, and trauma-informed philosophy. Work to become highly proficient in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) and CARE practices to support youth regulation, relationship development, and skill building. Identify opportunities to teach, coach, and reinforce treatment-focused interventions with both youth and staff while maintaining a culture of accountability, compassion, and growth.
Direct Care:
Provide direct supervision to youth, and enter ratio, as operational needs require, including staffing shortages, call-offs, crisis situations, or other circumstances impacting program coverage. Duties may include facilitating groups and activities, administering medications, responding to crises, and ensuring all individualized supervision and safety plans are implemented and followed consistently.
Other:
Participate in on-call rotation as assigned. Must be a TCI Trainer. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent, at least 21 years old, valid Illinois driver's license, and previous experience in 24/7 care required . MHP qualified per DCFS standards preferred.
Miscellaneous:
Must pass all pre-employment drug screens and background clearances. Must maintain driving clearances.
Skills:
Must be organized, able to multi-task, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, basic computer skills, and detail oriented. Must be able to interact with, and relate to, diverse groups of people. Must be able to demonstrate leadership skills and have the ability to recognize and report issues or concerns pertaining to program operations. Must have the strength/mobility needed to perform Therapeutic Crisis Intervention.
Pay:
$22.93 - $24.37 per hour
