Youth Program Coordinator Hours:
Full-time Youth Program coordinator Reports to:
Executive Director Youth Program Coordinator:
is responsible for creating and implementing programs that promote the healthy development of young people age 6 to 18 and enhance their capacity to achieve success in school, at home, and in the wider community.
Qualifications:
- Must commit to a regular schedule
- Must Take/follow directions constructive feedback and or criticism from supervisors
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated
- Experience with children
- Must possess positive attitude
- Must desire to make a difference in a child's life
- Excellent de-escalation and conflict resolution skills with children
- Must Be able to be nonjudgmental
- Desire to intervene in the cycle of violence and poverty
- Committed to the program
- Commit to meet or exceed program goals
- Must have patience and a strong work ethic
- Computer proficient with software and programs,
- Work on many projects simultaneously
Responsibilities:
- Assess the needs of the youth program residents
- Develop interventions to respond to youth in need
- Operate/coordinate mentoring youth program
- Operate/coordinate tutoring youth programs
- Schedule/facilitate youth field trips
- Screen, schedule and support youth service volunteers
- Answer all phone lines/calls forward to appropriate person and or department as needed
- Work/ maintain professional working environment with team member(s)
- Provide On-call rotation +
The Rise Youth Program Coordinator Responsibilities Continued:
- Assist with community resources to best serve our client base as requested
- Participate, as needed, in activities to build and strengthen partnerships and collaborations.
- Collect and report attendance and service statistics as required by funding source
- Participate in M W H training as required
- Attend direct staff, coordinator and community meetings; board meetings as assigned/directed
