OF PROGRAMS ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Ensure distribution of all Senior Pak bags are given only to eligible SP program recipients Ensure that recipient's orders are accurately picked and staged Ensure that all program guidelines are being followed Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work area at all times. Clean up spills immediately; keep walk areas and exits clear; lock and secure work area as required Maintains data base of recipients and prepares information accurately for monthly reports Reports monthly regarding participants in the program Sees to the completion of the applications for assistance, eligibility and meeting of program guidelines Correctly weighs and documents all out-going product, including waste pounds Checks all product to ensure compliance and quality several times/day Demonstrate good organizational skills and communicate courteously to volunteers and clients as a representative of Community Harvest Food Bank Adheres to the scheduled food distribution nutritional requirements of the program in coordination with the CHFB staff that is responsible for selecting and/or purchasing the food to be included in the SP bag Properly supervises assistant and any volunteers assigned to the SP area Accepts assignments as directed by the Director of Programs Maintains contact list of all drivers Deliver bags to recipients as needed Maintains waiting list of recipients Provides prompt communication with recipients This list is not all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
PHYSICAL/LIFE SKILLS/PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to consistently bend, twist, climb, reach above shoulders, kneel, squat, sit, stand, and lift up to 50 pounds. Must have a Valid IN driver's license Compassionate and caring attitude; courteous communication with clients and volunteers Must be able to read, comprehend and write in English at a high school level Must be able to consistently and correctly perform basic math skills at a high school level Proficiency on computer and ability to learn multiple software applications Demonstrate excellent people skills and problem solving (mediation) knowledge Demonstrate the ability to coordinate multiple projects and adhere to deadlines in a fast-paced environment Must have excellent oral communications skills Ability to coordinate eyes, hands, fingers Must have a pleasant, team-oriented personality and be able to work in an unsupervised environment Must be able to work in a wide range of environmental temperatures Must be willing/able to work overtime and weekends as requested Must be at least 18 years of age or older Must have reliable means of transportation to and from work.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent Must have or be willing to receive training necessary to possess any licenses/certificates required to be a successful Senior Pak Coordinator (example: safe food handling certificate and first aid, etc.) CPR certification ServSafe Manager certification
