Job Summary A Clubhouse is a program designed to build community and provide support for our members; adults living with mental illness. Generalist staff work side-by-side with members to help them make progress towards their recovery goals. Central to this role is the engagement of members in all aspects of the running of the Clubhouse organization. Staff are responsible for planning and coordinating work. But staff complete unit work with members and not for members. Staff also collaborate to help members set goals and access services and support including: housing, entitlements, healthcare, and legal aid; among others. Clubhouse member-staff relationships differ from typical relationships in social work settings. Instead of traditional professional/client boundaries, Clubhouse relationships are formed through working together toward common goals. Postive relationships bolstered by encouragement, appreciation for help and a focus on abililites are the primary tools of staff for member engagement. Please take time to review those Standards at https://clubhouse-intl.org/resources/quality-standards/ Duties Gain an understanding and appreciation of the Clubhouse model, philosophy and standards, and apply them to the day-to-day work of the Clubhouse. Build on strengths to engage members, side-by-side, in all aspects of the Clubhouse work day from opening (8:30a) to close (4:30p). Assist members with identifying and pursuing employment & education goals. Assist with coverage and management of Transitional Employment positions (a highly supported part-time, time-limited employment program). Assist members in obtaining entitlement benefits, medical treatment, housing supports and accessing other community resources as needed. Work two (occasionally three) evening and/or weekend recreational activities each month and half of the Federal holidays each year. At times, you will be asked to participate in out-of-town Clubhouse functions. We may ask you to participate in a 2 week training at a Clubhouse training base outside of Indiana. Perform other related duties as requested by the Director. Minimum Qualifications Positive energy, motivation, creativity and flexibility. Open-mindedness and willingness to learn and receive feedback, including from members. Ability to manage many simultaneous demands for your time and attention. Ability to work in an unstructured environment with a diversity of colleagues and a wide range of tasks, including cooking and cleaning. A focus on applying the Clubhouse Standards in practical ways to engage members in all Clubhouse work. Diplomacy and empathy with the ability to stay calm and de-escalate conflict. The ability to successfully manage a potentially stressful work environment. A driver's license and safe driving record Computer literacy with experience in Microsoft Office applications. A criminal background check is required for employment, but a criminal history does not necessarily exclude a candidate from consideration. Preferred Qualifications Spanish/English bilingual fluency preferred, but not required. A Bachelor's Degree & eligibility to work in the Carelogic Medicaid Rehabilitation Option platform.

Pay:

$36,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
