Marion, IN Campus & surrounding areaSummary of Position:
JROTC Flight Academic initiative: The position will ensure the proper supervision, transportation, and logistical support for Air Force JROTC cadets- mostly high school rising seniors and newly graduated high school students
- who will reside on the Marion, IN campus and complete flight training at the Marion Airport. The individual must be available full-time throughout the duration of the Flight Academy (May 28
- July 26, 2025).
Qualifications:
According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement. Education A bachelor's degree is highly preferred, though may be waived if the applicant has significant experience A master's degree is preferred Experience Previous experience in higher education student development or working with high school youth Preference given to applicants with tutoring, teaching, and/or camp counseling experience Experience as an aviator is a plus Required Skills Significant capacity to lead and serve others Demonstrated ability to develop positive relationships with students and manage conflict resolution Skilled in mentoring or counseling youth Superior ability to communicate in all forms (e.g., verbal and written) and modicums (e.g., electronic, in-person, or otherwise) Ability to manage complex projects Ability and legal authorization to drive a university passenger van and transport cadets and other university personnel safely between locations IWU Kingdom Diversity Statement IWU, in covenant with God's reconciling work and in accordance with the Biblical principles of our historic Wesleyan tradition, commits to build a community that reflects Kingdom diversity.
