Program Support Assistant (OA)

This position will serve as an Administrative Support Assistant to the Facility Telehealth Coordinator, Lead Care Coordinator, and other staff of the Home Telehealth (HT) Program. Duties are varied, non-routine, and consist of handling data and coordination for program patients. He/she will serve as a point of contact for patients, medical center staff, VISN staff, community agencies, and various others who contact this office.

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 05/22/2026. You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below:

Specialized Experience:

You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-4 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Able to apply and extract information for report generation and presentation thru multiple software applications including Microsoft Office Suite and others as needed. ne year experience using multiple soft applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, CPRS, and Vista and ability to adapt and learn others. Must have excellent organizational skills and be detailed oriented. Excellent written/verbal communications sills and able to interact with professional/stakeholders at all levels of the medical facility in a professional manner.

OR, Education:

To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have 4 years above high school.

OR, Combination:

Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at the GS-05 level. Must have equivalent combination of successfully completed post-high school education (beyond the second year) and specialized experience as described above, which meet the total experience requirements for this grade level.
