ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide a safe and nurturing home-like environment reflective of inclusive and trauma-informed care. Provide program coverage for at least three shifts per week which include evening and weekend hours and serve as the lead staff to manage and coach in real-time, as well as helping to provide on-site training to new staff. Assist PD in managing the direct care staffing schedule to ensure appropriate staffing coverage at all times. Assist PD in managing weekly house budget to ensure that all residents' nutritional, daily care and transportation needs are met, that adequate household supplies are available at the site and to meet any routine household maintenance needs. Assist to ensure that resident medication is stored properly and administered according to CFP/DYS policy and procedure. Assist PD to ensure that program site has all required external inspections Assist PD to ensure that on-site vehicle is inspected, receives all required repairs and is in good working order. Assist PD that all required drills and inspections are completed on time and that on-site first aid and emergency kit are maintained. relief direct care staff Assist PD ongoing staff professional development by ensuring that staff receive all required training, complete probation and annual performance evaluations, address disciplinary issues consistently in accordance with agency policy and provide consistent coaching and support to on-site direct care staff. Assist PD in monitoring compliance and accuracy of program documentation. Ensure the safety and well-being of program residents. Participate in the referral and admissions process and coordinate all resident intake and discharge planning. Work collaboratively with program clinical staff to ensure that residents' educational, vocational, physical health and behavioral health needs are met. Ensure that all relevant CFP/DYS policies regarding program administration are consistently followed by all program staff. Work collaboratively with the LIFE Program Management team to ensure that all ongoing compliance and contractual responsibilities are met according to required timeframes. Assist in completing and submitting the DYS Monthly Residential Report according to required timeframes. Participate in agency-wide activities to implement the ARC model of trauma-informed care, maintain CARF accreditation and improve the services and supports provided to agency workforce and the children and families served by the agency.
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong residential management skills around scheduling, supervising staff, and positive youth development. Able to work with a diverse group of residents and staff in a culturally responsive and trauma-informed manner. Must have a current driver's license and own vehicle. Must complete BASIC, CCMA and other DYS required trainings within 3 months of hire date.
EXPERIENCE
At least 3-5 years prior experience working with children involved in the juvenile justice system. One to two years of supervisory experience is preferred.
Pay:
$28.84 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
