Job Description

Girls Inc. Support Staff Job Summary Girls Inc. is seeking enthusiastic, dependable, and caring Support Staff to join our team. This position works directly with school-age youth in local schools and community-based settings, helping to deliver engaging, educational, and empowering Girls Inc. and Department of Public Health (DPH) programming. Support Staff work alongside the Girls Inc. Director and program team to create safe, welcoming, and inclusive spaces where girls and young people can build confidence, develop new skills, form positive relationships, and feel supported. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with youth, wants to make a positive impact in the community, and is interested in gaining experience in youth development, education, public health, or nonprofit programming. Responsibilities Assist the Girls Inc. Director and program staff with the implementation of educational Girls Inc. and DPH-funded programs for school-age youth at local schools and community sites. Help facilitate engaging activities, discussions, lessons, and special events. Provide positive mentorship, encouragement, and role modeling for program participants. Support daily program operations, including activity setup, cleanup, and preparation of materials. Help maintain a safe, respectful, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all participants. Encourage youth participation, confidence, leadership, and positive peer relationships. Assist with program-related administrative responsibilities, including attendance tracking, registration, surveys, and preparation of program materials. Support outreach and communication efforts with youth, families, schools, and community partners. Follow Girls Inc. policies, program expectations, and all applicable safety and youth protection procedures. Perform other program-related duties as needed to support the Girls Inc. team. Qualifications & Skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with youth from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Genuine enthusiasm for working with girls and young people in a supportive and empowering environment. Dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple responsibilities. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also taking initiative when needed. Flexible and willing to adapt to different program settings, activities, age groups, and participant needs. Commitment to creating an environment centered on respect, inclusion, confidence, leadership, and empowerment. Previous experience working with children or youth in schools, after-school programs, camps, recreation, childcare, or community programs is preferred but not required. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required for travel to local schools and program sites.
Pay:
$15.50 - $16.50 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 per week
