Position Overview 3d New England is seeking a Manager of Youth Programming to lead and grow a defined book of youth lacrosse programming, including camps, clinics, leagues, and events across the region. This is a hands-on, ownership role: the person in this seat is directly responsible for the operational execution, sales, and growth of their programs, working closely with the boys club program and its leadership. This role works closely with and in support of the boys club program, while also supporting girls' participation, as several of this role's programs serve both boys and girls. This position is based out of our Woburn, MA office (in-office 2-3x per week), with regular travel to practice locations in Medford, Brookline, Wellesley, and Middleton, and to camp and clinic sites throughout eastern Massachusetts. Evenings and weekends are required based on the seasonal programming calendar. Primary Responsibilities Program Leadership, Operations & Sales Lead the day-to-day operation and execution of the following programming: Boston Fall Ball ("Fall Elite")
  • 1x per week, Fall Boston Winter Ball
  • 1x per week, Winter Winter Sixes League
  • 1x per week, Winter Monster Mash
  • 1 Saturday, Fall Be the Best Summer Camps (Wellesley, Waltham, Pingree) North Shore Day Clinics Adventure Camp Because of the cyclical, seasonal nature of this programming, sales is a core and ongoing part of this role — most of these programs are ones we are actively looking to grow, not just maintain.
Operating this programming includes, and is not necessarily limited to: In-person attendance and on-site execution Marketing of programs via email and phone outreach Staffing and coach scheduling "Activation" — set-up and preparation of equipment, supplies, and facilities Boys Youth Program Support Assist with the operation of the boys youth program, working closely with Sam Cleveland and Ryan Caley Serve as an assistant at select practices and trainings Help run town workshops in the spring to build and strengthen relationships with the broader youth lacrosse community in Massachusetts Cross-Functional Development Develop and apply your skills in other areas of the company as needed — event operations, coaching, and internal operations/coordination Qualifications Bachelor's degree Familiarity with or background in lacrosse Coaching experience, or willingness and ability to coach and mentor youth Experience with youth sports camps, clinics, or programming, and comfort working directly with kids Independent problem-solving — able to lead and operate a program with guidance from the team, and to make sound executive decisions without needing to be managed closely Strong organization, executive function, and planning skills — able to track customer information, strategies, and key process details (typically via tools like Google Sheets and email) in a way teammates can use to collaborate Ability to plan and execute on 3, 6, and 9-month timescales across sales, marketing, and operations Teamwork balanced with ownership — willingness to pitch in across the company while also taking full charge of the growth and problem-solving of your own program Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and networking skills — much of this role's success is built on relationships with families and youth lacrosse organizations before a sale is ever made Compensation & Benefits Full-time, salaried position Salary range: $50,000
