Worcester RISE for Health is seeking a dedicated, empathetic, and highly skilled Legal Program Coordinator to support our community legal clinics and client outreach efforts. This role is central to bridging language gaps, managing intake workflows, and delivering accessible, high-quality community support. The ideal candidate brings a strong commitment to immigration law and immigrant rights, exceptional interpersonal communication skills, and the technical aptitude to maintain intake systems efficiently. Key Responsibilities Program Coordination & Intake Operations Manage incoming client intake forms, ensuring data accuracy and prompt entry tracking in Microsoft Excel. Perform regular client outreach and follow-up via phone and or in person to assess needs, gather preliminary information, and schedule clinic appointments. Coordinate logistics for legal clinics, including scheduling staff, volunteers, attorneys, and client arrival timelines. Maintain clean record-keeping systems to monitor clinic capacity and client follow-up actions. Close collaboration with multiple immigration attorneys, paralegals, community experts. Language Access & Interpretation Provide live, real-time spoken interpretation between English and Haitian Creole during client consultations, intake calls, and legal clinic sessions. Support team members by translating written outreach materials or intake notes as needed. Clinic Operations & Community Engagement Staff and coordinate weekend legal clinics, serving as the primary point of contact for arriving clients and community partners. Build trust with community members by delivering compassionate, culturally responsive service during intake and follow-up conversations. Collaborate with internal staff, legal partners, and volunteers to ensure smooth clinic workflows. Ethical Practice & Trauma-Informed Care Maintain strict confidentiality standards regarding sensitive client legal status, personal identifiers, and case details. Apply trauma-informed care principles during all client interactions, demonstrating deep empathy, patience, and awareness when serving individuals with extensive trauma histories. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required.
Language Proficiency:
Fluency in English is required; native or professional fluency in Haitian Creole is strongly preferred (specifically with strong oral interpretation skills). Spanish and Portuguese are also helpful.
