We are hiring Fun Zone Staff to support children and families in our mission of enabling every member of Frederick County to live healthier, strengthen family bonds and improve our community.
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Fun Zone Coordinator and in the accordance with Association policies, the Fun Zone Staff is responsible for member satisfaction and retention through impeccable member service and practices that promote member engagement. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Children Ensure that daily care of children is a top priority Maintain safe, clean and risk free program areas. Develop and foster warm and friendly relationships with parents and families. Be flexible and responsive to the children's needs. Engage children in activities to avoid discipline problems and redirect children when problems occur. Use an appropriate voice and language with children at all times. Change diapers on a regular basis. Members Greet members, participants and guests by name; check-in/check-out with parent ID Assist facility users with questions regarding program services or other info. Follow-up with all member inquiries and/or complaints in a timely and professional manner. Administrative Functions Accountable for the execution of policies and procedures of the Association. Maintain accurate attendance records Responsible for monthly shift assignments and flexibility of schedule including night, weekends and holidays Participate in trainings and staff meetings. Work in a friendly, helpful and respectful manner. Share ideas or suggestions and communicate effectively with other team members to resolve problems that will help ensure a quality program. Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Minimum age 16 Must have one year experience working with children Customer service experience preferred Ability to work well and effectively communicate with a diverse populations in a wide variety of situations Confidentiality and excellent organizational skills are required Current CPR, AED, First Aid and YMCA Code of Conduct (within 30 days of hire)
