Hearts & Homes for Youth, Inc. | Burtonsville, MD 20852 Hearts & Homes for Youth, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth and strengthening families. We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and committed Residential Program Manager to join our professional and collaborative team. Our residential program provides services to adolescent girls ages 13-19 in a structured, supportive group home environment. Our Work Environment Modern office setting Casual work attire Collaborative and supportive team environment Rewarding work serving youth and families Position Summary The Residential Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a residential group home serving adolescent girls ages 13-19 . The Program Manager ensures that the home operates in accordance with applicable state regulations, licensing requirements, and agency policies and procedures . This position provides leadership and supervision to residential staff, promotes a safe and supportive environment for the youth, maintains required program documentation, and builds effective relationships with public and private agencies. The ideal candidate will have experience working with adolescents with behavioral, emotional, and social needs, particularly youth involved with DSS and/or DJS . This position includes on-call responsibilities and requires flexibility to respond to residential program needs outside of regular business hours. Key Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day operations of the residential group home. Provide supervision, coaching, and support to residential staff. Ensure appropriate staffing coverage and effective program operations. Maintain accurate and timely program records and documentation. Ensure compliance with applicable state regulations, licensing requirements, and agency policies. Coordinate and monitor required staff training. Promote a safe, structured, trauma-informed, and youth-centered environment. Build and maintain positive working relationships with DSS, DJS, and other public and private agencies. Assist with client referrals, admissions, placement coordination, and recruitment efforts. Support the behavioral, emotional, educational, and social needs of adolescent girls in the program. Respond appropriately to emergencies, incidents, behavioral concerns, and after-hours program needs. Provide leadership during crisis situations and ensure appropriate follow-up and documentation. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of three (3) years of related experience . At least one (1) year of supervisory or management experience . Experience working with adolescent girls ages 13-19 in a residential, group home, child welfare, or behavioral health setting strongly preferred. Experience working with youth involved with DSS and/or DJS preferred. Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively supervise and develop residential staff. Experience managing challenging behaviors and crisis situations. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced residential environment. Ability and willingness to participate in an on-call rotation. Pay:
$50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
