We are seeking clinical staff to join our roster of support group facilitators.
POSITION
DESCRIPTIONSupport Group Facilitator for Circle of StrengthHopeWell Cancer Support is seeking contractual clinical staff to facilitate Circle of Strength support groups for men affected by cancer, including men diagnosed with cancer and men who are caregivers. This new initiative requires a clinician who can provide support and understanding of the unique ways cancer impacts men and their support systems.

This is a contractual position. Evening availability is required.

Circle of Strength is designed to provide a safe, supportive space w men affected by cancer can connect with others, share experiences, and receive professionally facilitated psychosocial support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1.
Facilitate weekly evening Circle of Strength support group sessions, promoting inclusion, engagement, and mutual support.2. Prepare weekly for assigned support group sessions in accordance with HopeWell policies.3. Complete required documentation weekly and in accordance with organizational policies.4. Attend bi-weekly clinical team meetings.5. Attend quarterly Circle of Strength Advisory Committee meetings.6. Facilitate special programs, workshops, or series assigned.7. Model HopeWell's mission, values, philosophy, and culture.8. Work a flexible schedule with evening hours required and occasional additional hours as needed to support program activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Maryland licensure as LCSW-C, LMSW, LBSW, PhD Psychologist, LCPC, LGPC or similar licensure.
  • Group experience and experience working with diverse populations are strongly required.
  • Keen cultural sensitivity, Strong communication skills, Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suites.
COMPENSATION
Approximately 4 hours at $250 per week-invoicing monthly-no administrative support. HopeWell Cancer Support is an equal opportunity employer that welcomes diversity in our inclusive community.
