Job Description
Junior OPSEC Management Analyst
The Position:
This position is awaiting contract award.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior OPSEC Management Analyst to support the H-53 variants program at NAS Patuxent River.
In this foundational role, you will apply core Operations Security (OPSEC) methodologies to protect sensitive unclassified information, critical technologies, and program activities.
Working alongside senior analysts, you will help develop security assessments, support foreign visitor management, and deliver threat awareness training to directly safeguard critical heavy-lift naval aviation assets.
Responsibilities:
- basic knowledge of OPSEC principles to assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining the program-wide OPSEC plan to protect sensitive government and industry activities.
- Support the creation of OPSEC Surveys and Assessment Plans. Assist in conducting site assessments and compiling data to produce formalized security findings.
- Provide operational and administrative support for U.S. Government-hosted foreign national visitors, ensuring strict compliance with physical security and information control guidelines.
- Assist in the development, coordination, and delivery of OPSEC training materials and threat awareness briefings for program office personnel.
- Review program outputs, public release requests, and shared media under guidance to prevent indicators and critical information from being inadvertently exposed to adversaries.
Qualifications:
- Must possess or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance to access the airfield and military installation.
- Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited institution.
- 0 to 3 years of experience in information security, physical security, risk analysis, or defense program operations performing the functional duties described above.
- Familiarity with basic DoD security concepts, information control processes, or NAVAIR program office settings (prior internships or introductory defense industry experience is a plus).
- Strong analytical reasoning, precise written communication, and excellent interpersonal skills needed to interface with program personnel and visitors.
