Takoma Park, MD Job Details Part-time $28 - $30 an hour 4 hours ago Qualifications Program design Program management Classroom activity organization Team leadership Team development Associate's degree Parent-teacher conferences (communication methods) Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and bilingual Program Coordinator to assist the Director by supporting program development and the daily operations of a before and after school child care program. This role requires an energetic, engaging person with strong leadership qualities and who is organized, creative and has the ability to create a positive environment which fosters learning and the development and well being for both children and staff. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact while developing leadership and project management skills in a collaborative environment. The hours for this position are Monday through Friday from 3:00 - 6:00 PM. Additional hours can be added mornings from 7:00-9:00AM. Apply only if you have a minimum of an Associates Degree OR the equivalent in Education. Experience in child care administration is desired. Duties Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and organizational policies. Help staff develop and implement daily program plans. Lead and supervise staff members to maintain high-quality care and educational standards. Foster teamwork and professional growth. Communicate with parents and or guardians providing updates on their child's progress and address any concerns. Ensure safety protocols, including maintaining cleanliness , ensuring a secure environment for all children and staff. Contribute to staff training and education of classroom management. Skills Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages. Demonstrated ability to lead educational activities manage classroom environments. A strong understanding of licensing, health and safety standards.
