The Adaptive Outdoor Education Center (AOEC) believes that everyone deserves the opportunity to experience adventure, community, and belonging. Through year-round adaptive recreation and education programs, we empower individuals with disabilities to build confidence, independence, and meaningful connections. We are seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and mission-driven Program & Lodging Coordinator to join us through the 2026/2027 Winter Season. This role combines adaptive recreation programming, lodge management, and volunteer coordination.

Position Summary The Program & Lodge Coordinator plays an integral role in the success of AOEC's adaptive recreation programs and the operation of our fully accessible lodge in Carrabassett Valley. This position reports to the Executive Director and works collaboratively with staff, volunteers, participants, and community partners. Adaptive Recreation Programs Lead and support winter adaptive recreation and education programs, primarily the Horizons Ski Program at Sugarloaf Mountain. This program is geared toward skiers who are neurodiverse and/or skiers with varying developmental abilities. Coordinate program logistics, equipment, registrations, and participant communications. Create welcoming, inclusive experiences for people of all abilities. Lodge Management Manage day-to-day operations of AOEC's fully accessible lodge. Coordinate reservations, guest communications, and check-ins. Oversee housekeeping tasks and indoor and outdoor maintenance, including snow removal. Ensure an exceptional lodging experience for guests. Volunteer Coordination Schedule and support volunteers.

Administra3ve Support Maintain program operations. Assist with marketing, newsletters, and social media. Perform additional duties that support AOEC's mission. Qualifications Passion for inclusion, accessibility, and outdoor recreation. Intermediate to advanced alpine ski skills. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Experience in nonprofit, recreation, education, hospitality, or a related field preferred. Must work evenings and weekends. Ability to lift 50lbs.
