Job Description
Men's Life Recovery Program Support Staff Full-time:
2nd shift weekdays (3pm-11pm)Job Summary/Purpose:
Under the direction of the Life Recovery Program Coordinator, Life Recovery Support Staff will perform a variety of duties including but not limited to, supervising department guests, assisting with activities for guests, and enforcing rules, policies and procedures of The Haven and the Program. In addition, support staff will participate in the overall well-being and functioning of the facility. The various duties and responsibilities of the support staff are listed below under responsibilities/essential functions.Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Perform duties or responsibilities as assigned by Program Coordinator. Ensure that all Haven policies and guidelines are followed. Keep program coordinator and relevant staff informed of all pertinent information. Supervise guests and ensure they are working on their individual goals. Answer phones in a professional manner; take accurate, detailed messages; transfer phone calls to appropriate personnel. Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of Haven properties. Work with team to ensure program is running efficiently. Communicate with staff concerning daily events. Maintain logs and reports as required by the program. Maintain positive relationship with internal staff and administration as well as with the student community. Work harmoniously and cooperatively with co-workers to develop a positive team spirit that promotes personal and professional growth. Participate with aftercare follow up procedures with students who have graduated or left the program prematurely. May need to work various shifts as needed. Assist with intake of donations.Qualifications:
Must understand and support the Mission Statement, philosophy, scope, vision, and practical activities associated with the Haven. Must demonstrate integrity and good moral character. Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or a GED. Must demonstrate proficient organizational skills. Must possess proficient communication skills. Must be able to work with diverse populations. Must demonstrate a basic knowledge of computers. Must be able to work with sensitive information and maintain strict confidentiality. Must be team oriented. Must be able to appropriately handle emergency situations. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions. Must be, or be willing to be, CPR/first aid certified. A valid driver's license is preferred, but a Michigan ID is accepted. Must be at least eighteen years of age. Must demonstrate ability to work with Program Coordinator in all aspects.Job Type:
