Job Summary:
The Community Education Program Coordinator plays a key role in developing and supporting engaging, high-quality programs for learners of all ages. This position is responsible for coordinating courses, workshops, and events that reflect the needs and interests of the community while ensuring excellent customer service and smooth program operations.
Responsibilities:
Develop and coordinate Community Education courses, workshops, and events Work with instructors to create program offerings that reflect community needs Set up and maintain courses in the registration system with accurate schedules, descriptions, and fees Monitor enrollment and make program adjustments as needed Serve as the main point of contact for instructors and participants Provide courteous, timely, and professional customer service by phone, email, and in person Support instructors with scheduling, logistics, and classroom needs Ensure course listings, catalogs, and online registration information are accurate and current Track attendance, maintain rosters, and process program evaluations Assist with billing, payments, and refunds as needed Generate reports and provide recommendations for program growth and improvement Flexibility to work days, afternoons, evenings, and weekends to ensure proper supervision and management of staff and programs
Qualifications:
Degree required (Associates or higher) in business, communications, recreation, or other related field Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with instructors, staff, and community members Experience with program coordination, event planning, and customer service required Familiarity with registration systems and basic financial processes This description is intended to describe the essential job functions and requirements.
