The Economic Growth Program Manager is a high performer responsible for delivering excellent technical expertise to Chamber members while implementing the organization's business growth services, programs, and initiatives to drive success of area businesses. A proven Subject Matter Expert, this individual is a key member of the Chamber's Economic Growth team, who reports directly to the VP of Economic Growth.

Essential Responsibilities:
1. Overall program, event, and speaker strategy. 2. Event facilitation and coordination. 3. DBE Certification program oversight and portfolio management. 4. Business Assistance. 5. Community and ecosystem engagement. Achieving Essential Responsibilities 1. Manages Chamber programming as assigned, such as West Michigan Minority Contractors, Diverse-Business Certifications, Small Business Week Kickoff, and Business Growth Workshops. 2. Provides vision and direction to colleagues regarding event themes and topics related to business needs and trends. 3. Manages Chamber CEO and Management Roundtable process. 4. Provides technical assistance to businesses through coaching and 1:1 consultation. 5. Attends community networking events to connect with current and prospective members and serves on community boards/committees as an active leader within the greater community. 6. Works with event speakers to facilitate programs and meet objectives. 7. Attends internal meetings to ensure all aspects of events and programs are accounted for. 8. Develops run of show and drafts program scripts for designated events, alongside Chamber Marketing team. 9. Actively demonstrates commitment to the Chamber's vision, mission, and organizational goals. 10. Acts as a champion for EOS both internally and externally.
Non-Essential Responsibilities:
11. Assists events team with space set up for various events and programs. 12. Other duties as assigned.
Supervision Received:
General Direction:
Plans and arranges own work. Uses a wide range of procedures to accomplish assigned objectives. Takes on program details with little or no direction or oversight with a full understanding of the Chamber's scope of solutions.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
No direct supervisory responsibilities of staff. Provides team and thought leadership within Economic Growth Department and larger Programs and Services team.
Education & Experience:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Marketing Management or similar 2. At least 5 years professional experience and two (2) years of experience in Program Management.

$55,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
