Job Goal:
The primary goal is to oversee county-wide participation in the Michigan Medicaid School Services Program (SSP). This position works closely with Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS), Michigan Department of Education (MDE), and constituent Local Education Agencies (LEAs) to ensure compliance with Medicaid requirements.
Qualifications:
Education & Certification :
High School Diploma or GED required; college degree or credits preferred.
Work Experience :
Experience with Michigan Medicaid School Services Program (SSSP), preferred. Familiarity with IDEA, special education regulations and school-based service delivery, preferred. Training for this position will be provided.
Essential Job Functions:

Vaid driver's license required. Strong organizational and analytical skills Effective presentation skills to train individuals and groups Clear, effective and courteous written and verbal communication skills High quality customer service and technical support skills Research and information gathering skills, including the ability to process and track information using online databases Records management skills, including financial recordkeeping skills Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Slides, Sheets, etc.) to manage data, create reports, and develop training materials Reliable and consistent time management and project coordination skills Evaluation skills to determine compliance and to promote improvement General professional skills, including a willingness to: Make student-centered decisions Adhere to federal, state and VBISD policies and procedures Model VBISD guidelines: Respect, Integrity, Compassion and Excellence Complete assigned responsibilities within agreed upon timelines Seek ongoing improvement and accept feedback in a professional way Perform additional tasks, responsibilities and duties as assigned by the Supervisor, Director, or Superintendent.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit and work on a computer for long periods of time Ability to travel across the county and state to participate in meetings and conferences
