Description Benefits Questions Job Function Macomb Community College teaching Faculty demonstrate deep subject matter knowledge and provide effective instruction to students using various modalities including, but not limited to, on campus, online, remote, hybrid, and flexible learning. They develop, modify, and ensure currency of curriculum and course syllabi. Faculty are responsive to their students and support their success through timely communication and feedback, assessment of student learning, regular office hours, etc. They are active members of the college community and attend department meetings as required. Job Responsibilities Primary responsibility will be to teach in the Radiologic Technology Program designed to prepare students to become Radiologic Technologists in compliance with the MCCFO contract. The Instructor/Program Coordinator will refine and modify course syllabi, identify required teaching and laboratory materials. Program Coordinator is responsible for maintaining regulatory compliance with JRCERT. This includes but is not limited to: Timely submission of all required documentation, reports and notifications including annual reports, self-study, and other requested documentation Planning for and directing virtual and on-site accreditation activities Demonstrates honesty and integrity in managing regulatory issues Develop and monitor program assessment activity including follow up action plans as needed Monitor and introduce needed changes in curriculum to ensure currency and to support program outcomes as needed Monitor and respond to changes in JRCERT policy and /or requirements Provide annual review of program policies and student materials including, handbooks, web site and course syllabi for accuracy, currency and compliance with institutional and regulatory expectations. Collaborate annually with appointed administrators to support program planning, fiscal management, resources and program specific policy and procedure needs. Collaborate regularly with program faculty to review program policies, identify areas of concern and to support faculty development Collaborate regularly with program Clinical Coordinator to support the JRCERT compliance of clinical education policies and to review related outcome data Collaborates as needed with appointed administrator to review any received complaints and to discuss due process and resolution Prepare for and direct regular meetings of stakeholders including advisory board. Advocate for Radiography education at the institutional and community level Support the Institutional mission, vision and goals via curriculum alignment and participation in institutional activities Participate in shared governance as provided for in the MCCFO contract Education Minimum of a Masters Master's degree in Education, Business, or Healthcare Administration, or related field Qualifications The program director must be an initially certified radiologic technologist who is a nationally certified radiologic technologist with the ARRT according to regulations in the state(s) or jurisdiction(s) in which the program is located. The program director must hold a minimum of a master's degree awarded by an institution that is accredited by a regional accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE). Minimum of 5 years of documented post licensure experience to include a minimum of 3 years of full-time clinical experience. This experience must include clinical practice as a radiologic technologist. One-year documented experience in classroom, lab or clinical teaching Experience in administration, management and leadership Documented expertise in their area(s) of teaching responsibility and knowledge of the content delivery method (e.g., distance learning). Evidence of expertise in teaching assignments might include documentation of continuing professional development, relevant experience, faculty development plan reflecting acquisition of new content, incorporation of feedback from course evaluations, and other sources.
