  • Director, Wealth Management Coaching & Consulting
  • plays a critical role in advancing Schwab's Modern Wealth Management experience across the Heartland Region.

Partnering closely with branch leaders and wealth management professionals, this role drives consultant effectiveness, enhances client engagement, and supports business growth through coaching, development, and strategic consultation. Success in this position requires the ability to evaluate performance trends, identify opportunities, and implement actionable strategies that improve advisor capabilities, client outcomes, retention, and market share. This leader leverages deep wealth management expertise, financial planning knowledge, and data-driven decision making to influence change, strengthen adoption of best practices, and elevate client-centric behaviors. Working across branches and regional partners, the role requires strong collaboration, adaptability, and business judgment to balance strategic priorities, manage risk, and drive continuous improvement. Frequent travel throughout the region supports in-person coaching, relationship building, and execution of growth initiatives.

  • What you have
  • Required Qualifications
  • + Bachelor's degree required.

+ FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 licenses required. + 10+ years of experience in the financial services industry. + 7+ years of sales leadership, coaching, consulting, or advisor development experience.

+ Comprehensive knowledge of wealth management, financial planning, and client engagement strategies.

+ Demonstrated ability to coach and develop professionals through structured consulting and performance improvement approaches.

+ Deep understanding of brokerage, advisory, and banking products and services.

+ Ability to leverage data, metrics, and business insights to identify trends and develop action plans that drive results.

+ Strong business judgment with the ability to prioritize competing opportunities and effectively manage risk.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence diverse audiences.

+ Ability to travel approximately 50% and reside within the Heartland Region (Edina, MN; Omaha, NE; Denver, CO).

  • Preferred Qualifications
  • + MBA + Industry certifications such as CFP®, CIMA®, CFA®, or CWS®.

+ Experience leading large-scale organizational change, growth, or business transformation initiatives.

+ Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

+ Experience driving adoption of practice management frameworks and advisor development programs.

+ Strong partnership, collaboration, and stakeholder management capabilities.
