Job Description

The Program Director provides leadership and oversight for all YMCA health and wellness and sports programs at the Grand River Area Family YMCA. This position is responsible for program development, staff and volunteer leadership, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management while ensuring high-quality programs that support the YMCA mission of youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent. Must be 21 years or older. Two to three years of related experience preferred, as a coordinator or supervisor. Within 45 days of hire, completion of required training: Child Abuse Prevention for Supervisory Staff;
CPR, AED
& First Aid Certifications; Bloodborne Pathogen; Sexual Harassment. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community. Have strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills. Needs to be a self-starter, able to handle multiple tasks under limited supervision, work well in a team setting, and be detail-oriented. Have experience with and knowledge of computers. Possess a positive and professional attitude.
