Nursing Assistant Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including hospitals, assisted living facilities, and critical care environments. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, the ability to work with individuals with disabilities, and a willingness to assist in various medical procedures. Responsibilities Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse. Provide support for patients with dementia and those requiring specialized care. Help maintain a safe and clean environment for patients by adhering to aseptic techniques. Assist in the administration of medications as directed by nursing staff. Support pediatric patients with their specific needs and comfort. Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Document patient information accurately using medical terminology and maintain confidentiality. Experience Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Familiarity with critical care practices and hospital medicine is advantageous. Knowledge of anatomy and catheter care is a plus. Experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly valued.
