Part-Time (Before & After School, School Breaks, and Summer Programs)
Monday-Friday:
6:00AM-8:00AM and 3:45PM-6:00PM We are looking for candidates who are available to work both shifts as listed all five days of the week. We cannot accommodate partial shifts.
Pay:
$20-24/hour, Based on experience and region Position Overview The Head Coach serves as the leader of an after-school program site, creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for children. This hands-on leadership role combines youth development, staff supervision, program operations, and relationship building with families and school partners. The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, and passionate about helping children build confidence, resilience, and life skills. Key Responsibilities Program Leadership Lead daily program operations and ensure a positive experience for students. Facilitate engaging enrichment, academic support, recreation, and character-building activities. Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming program environment. Manage student attendance, transitions, and dismissal procedures. Team Development Supervise and support site staff. Provide coaching, training, and ongoing feedback to team members. Lead staff meetings and promote a positive team culture. Family & School Partnerships Build strong relationships with students, families, and school personnel. Communicate program updates, successes, and student needs. Represent the organization professionally within the school community. Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and company policies. Maintain accurate program records and documentation. Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and behavioral concerns. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of leadership experience in education, childcare, youth development, recreation, or a related field. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to lead staff while actively engaging with children. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, Human Services, or a related field preferred.
State Requirements:
Candidates must be at least 21 years old and have a Center Director Certification from Missouri's Dept of Education with a capacity of 21-59 children. To qualify for the certification, you must have: Sixty (60) college semester credits with twelve (12) of the credits in child-related courses, OR Twenty-four (24) months' experience with twelve (12) college semester credits in child-related courses Physical Requirements Ability to actively participate in indoor and outdoor activities. Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout program hours. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally. Why Join Us? Make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families.
