Position Summary Information Responsibilities Program & Event Coordination
  • 35% Plan, coordinate, and execute GEAR UP summer camps focused on academic enrichment, leadership development, and college/career readiness. Develop camp schedules, secure facilitators, and oversee logistics including transportation, meals, and student supervision. Evaluate program effectiveness through student feedback, participation data, and outcome measures. Communications & Outreach
  • 30% Manage GEAR UP communications, including monthly newsletters, press releases, weekly social media, and stakeholder updates. Develop success stories, program highlights, and promotional materials that showcase program impact. Maintain consistent branding and messaging in alignment with grant and institutional guidelines. College & Career Readiness Taskforce
  • 15% Facilitate the work of the College and Career Readiness Taskforce, engaging school staff, postsecondary institutions, and community partners.
Support the development of strategies that increase FAFSA completion, dual enrollment participation, and career exploration opportunities. Monitor progress toward college and career readiness benchmarks and report outcomes to leadership. Partnership Development & Meetings
  • 20% Organize quarterly partnership meetings, including agenda development, logistics, and follow-up documentation.
Strengthen relationships with school districts, higher education institutions, and community organizations. Track partnership commitments and outcomes to demonstrate impact and sustainability. Attending monthly Advisory Council Meetings for all districts. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field with 3+ years of experience in program coordination, event planning, education-based outreach, or college access and an understanding of the barriers to postsecondary education. Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and manage multiple priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Fluent in website updates, MailChimp, DropBox, Constant Contact, and other digital communication platforms. Knowledge of college access services. Salary Commensurate with experience, qualifications, and university's resources. Minimum Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Experience with GEAR UP, TRIO, or other college access programs. Knowledge of federal grant compliance and reporting.
