Job Description
Beech Mountain Resort is seeking an energetic, organized, and guest-focused Youth Programs Manager to lead and oversee our children's winter programs, including Snow Kamp, Learn-to-Ride (LTR), and Traxx . This leadership position plays a vital role in creating exceptional experiences for young guests while supporting a team of instructors and childcare staff. The ideal candidate is passionate about youth development, team leadership, guest service, and creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children and families. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management Supervise Youth Program instructors and Snow Kamp employees on a daily basis. Create, maintain, and adjust staff schedules based on enrollment and operational needs. Recruit, interview, hire, and train Youth Program staff as needed. Provide coaching, support, and resources to ensure team success and exceptional guest experiences. Lead by example while promoting company values, safety standards, and professional conduct. Program Operations Oversee the daily operations of Snow Kamp, LTR, and Traxx programs. Ensure all Youth Programs are fully stocked with necessary supplies and materials. Coordinate daily lunch orders for enrolled children. Submit inventory and ordering requests to the Food & Beverage Department. Maintain compliance with health, safety, childcare, and emergency procedures. Guest Experience Communicate professionally with parents and guardians before arrival to confirm registrations, answer questions, and explain program procedures. Address guest concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally. Foster a welcoming environment that exceeds guest expectations and encourages repeat visitation. Administrative Responsibilities Create and publish employee schedules based on staff availability and program enrollment. Review and document incidents and accidents, ensuring proper reporting and implementation of preventative measures. Maintain accurate program records and operational documentation. Utilize reservation and sales systems, including Siriusware, along with Microsoft Office applications. Qualifications Previous leadership or supervisory experience in youth programs, childcare, recreation, education, or hospitality preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience with scheduling, staffing, and customer service. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Ability to work weekends, holidays, and peak winter season schedules.
