Non-Exempt Horizons Residential Care Center is seeking a compassionate and organized Day Program Coordinator to oversee daily programming for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role ensures residents receive meaningful, person-centered activities aligned with their MY Plans and quality-of-life goals. The Day Program Coordinator supports daily schedules, assists Program Specialists as needed, and works closely with staff, families, and community partners to promote engagement, independence, and community involvement. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and manage the daily Day Program schedule. Ensure engaging, person-centered activities aligned with MY Plans. Support Program Specialists with individual and group activity planning. Monitor staff engagement and documentation of program goals. Maintain activity supplies, sensory tools, and treatment resources. Lead community outings, including transportation and support as needed. Assist with campus-wide events and special programming. Support volunteer engagement and community partnerships. Provide coaching and guidance to staff on programming. Provide direct support and personal care when needed. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Candidates may qualify through one of the following: High School Diploma/GED + 4 years of related experience Associate's Degree (AAS) + 2 years of related experience Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a related fieldRequired Skills & Experience:
Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and/or physical disabilities Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to multitask and adapt in a dynamic environment Microsoft Office proficiency preferred Dependable, flexible, and team-oriented Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 40 lbs Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with mobility equipment Ability to work indoors and outdoors Ability to provide hands-on support and personal care Why Work at Horizons?
