At Boys & Girls Club of Lincoln/Lancaster County (BGCLL), we're searching for a dynamic leader who thrives on making a difference —someone with vision, energy, and dedication to delivering high-quality programs and services. As the Program Director/School Community Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in shaping the future of our Club, overseeing daily operations, leading staff, and ensuring that every child has the support they need to reach their full potential. Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM This role is not eligible for overtime compensation and requires infrequent, but occasional, flexibility for evening and weekend events.
Program Leadership & Oversight:
Design, develop, and oversee the implementation of all Club programs, ensuring high-quality academic and enrichment services across all core program areas, including those from Boys & Girls Clubs of America and locally developed initiatives. Maintain a regular presence in Clubs to monitor programming, ensure safety, and provide coaching to staff. Evaluate program effectiveness using data analysis and outcome metrics from Boys and Girls Club of America and Lincoln Community Learning Centers (CLC), making improvements as needed.
Staff Management & Development:
Directly manage part-time Youth Development Professionals (YDPs) by creating and maintaining the weekly staff schedule, ensuring proper coverage and program execution. Provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and performance appraisals while identifying professional development opportunities to support staff growth and program quality.
Community & Partner Collaboration:
Serve as the primary liaison between the Boys & Girls Club of Lincoln/Lancaster County, Lincoln Public Schools Lincoln Community Learning Centers (CLC), and Lincoln North Star High School to ensure alignment with their goals and participating in their meetings. Manage weekly communication with volunteers, community partners, and other outside entities to ensure they are supported and effectively integrated into Club programs.
Member Engagement & Club Visibility:
Set and uphold standards for participant enrollment, program participation, recruitment, retention, guidance and discipline, and parental involvement. Increase the visibility of Club programs by posting schedules, promoting events, and sharing timely information to drive attendance and recruit new members. What We Offer! Fair & Transparent Compensation :

A team-oriented attitude and professional communication skills Experience in a nonprofit organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people. An equivalent combination of education and related experience will be considered. An understanding and knowledge of the mission and objectives of Boys & Girls Club. Remarkable collaboration skills with a proven ability to establish rapport and build meaningful working relationships with organization leaders, coworkers, community groups, clients, and other related agencies. Excellent organizational skills , including the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and develop innovative solutions with limited supervision. The ability to communicate effectively and professionally , both verbally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to organize, direct and coordinate operations , oversee and retain key personnel, and successfully manage a team. CPR and First Aid Certifications preferred with mandatory completion of certification once employed. Successful completion of a background investigation is required. Physical Requirements Ability to actively engage with youth in a variety of settings, including indoor and outdoor environments. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds (e.g., program supplies or equipment). Ability to respond quickly to active and sometimes unpredictable environments. Ability to supervise recreational activities such as sports, games, and group movement. Ability to work in a school-based or community environment with varying noise levels and activity.
