The Summer Food Service Program provides USDA•funded meals at no cost to children and teens during the summer months. The locations range through out Belknap, Merrimack and Grafton Counties. A Day in the Life as anSFSP Program Coordinator:
As the Program Coordinator for the Summer Food Services Program, you'll assist with program planning and daily coordination of SFSP while maintaining an understanding of USDA requirements. May require frequent travel to sites throughout Belknap and Merrimack Counties.Your responsibilities will be to:
Assist with program planning and coordination for the Summer Food Services Program. Assist with preparing breakfast and lunches for the SFSP as needed and fill in for the Head Cook as needed. Conduct meal site monitoring reviews as required by NHDOE and USDA. Assist the Program Manager with processing invoices, and purchase orders for payment. Assist Program Manager with maintaining an accurate inventory of food and supplies at kitchens and inform the SFSP Program Manager of any items running low. Provide required training to approved meal sites prior to receiving meals. Maintain an understanding of the USDA and SFSP requirements. Present a professional and positive image when interacting with others as a representative of Community Action Program Belknap-Merrimack Counties, Inc and the Summer Food Service Program. Your role will directly contribute to a positive participant experience and efficient operations across the program.Requirements:

To excel in this role, you'll need:Education:
High School diploma or equivalency credential.Experience:
Two years of experience coordinating service delivery in a social services setting. One year of experience in commercial kitchens or equivalent food service experience. One year of experience supervising kitchen staff.Skills:
Good verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with staff and volunteers.Characteristics:
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment as needed.Technical:
Knowledge of health and safety standards as they relate to food preparation, service, and storage. ServSafe certification.Physical Requirement:
Requires lifting and moving up to 25 pounds, 50 pounds with another person. Pushing and pulling food carts up to 100 pounds. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation required for travel.
