Job Description

  • This position is for an Adolescents (ages 12-18) Program Coordinator
Employment Hours:
35 hours a week, Monday
  • Friday scheduled between 10:00am
  • 8:30pm with additional days and weekends, as scheduled; closed all Camden City school district holidays
  • Summer Hours:
    35 hours a week, Monday
  • Friday scheduled between 8:00am
  • 5:00pm
Requirements:
Minimum of an Bachelor's Degree Must have at least 2 years of experience working with adolescents (ages 12-18) with skills in adolescent development Must have experience in case management Knowledge of community resources Demonstrated leadership skills/Self-starter Experience with group process and facilitation Good organizational skills; ability to prioritize work requirements Ability to work well with consumers and providers Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office Must have transportation and valid driver's license/insurance Must have 10 years or more of verifiable driving experience Must have a clean driver's abstract Must have great writing skills Must have good interpersonal skills Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
Responsibilities:
Demonstrate ability and flexibility to operate within a comprehensive model of service coordination Develop programming that builds youth capacity, connectedness to school, community, and caring adults Must be in constant contact with schools, caseworkers & parents/guardians. Facilitate prevention/intervention groups and/or afterschool programming to enhance the skills, knowledge, and attitude of participating youth. Create opportunities for youth to participate in challenging and interesting learning experiences, Provide guidance/non-clinical counseling to youth on a variety of life-skills/healthy youth development topics Must be able to prepare comprehensive monthly activity calendars. Able to maintain records, track services/activities within the required weekly reports Maintain accurate files, group notes, and activity/event journals Successfully complete a criminal history and child abuse registry background check Transport students from school or home to program & from program to home in a timely manner Establish community partnerships to link students and their families to resources Ensure students follow through with ongoing educational goals, including graduating from high school Organize and facilitate groups during and/or afterschool utilizing evidence based curriculums Administer assessments for program evaluation and reports Maintain confidentiality of participating students in compliance with operational policies and procedures. Works, collaboratively, with all of the youth's support network. Provides client-centered services in a culturally competent manner. Attend staff meetings. Other duties as assigned
