Job Description
The Civic League of Greater New Brunswick is seeking an experienced, highly organized, and collaborative Elementary Programs Manager to lead the implementation, management, evaluation, and continued growth of our elementary school programming. The Elementary Programs Manager provides leadership for the Civic League's elementary programs and is responsible for ensuring high-quality program delivery across assigned school sites. The Manager oversees program operations, supervises staff, maintains strong relationships with school and community partners, monitors program outcomes, ensures compliance with organizational and grant requirements, and identifies opportunities to strengthen and expand programming. This position requires a hands-on leader who can successfully manage multiple programs and priorities while building strong relationships with students, families, staff, schools, and community partners. The Elementary Programs Manager reports directly to the Executive Director. Key Responsibilities Program Leadership & Management Lead the day-to-day implementation and management of all Civic League elementary school programs. Plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate school-year and summer programming. Ensure programs are delivered consistently and in accordance with established curriculum, program goals, organizational standards, and grant requirements. Monitor program quality, student participation, outcomes, and overall effectiveness. Conduct regular site visits to assess program implementation, staff performance, student engagement, and operational needs. Identify opportunities to strengthen existing programming and recommend improvements based on program data, staff feedback, and community needs. Coordinate program schedules, activities, special events, field trips, and other program components. Ensure required program materials, assessments, attendance records, reports, and documentation are completed accurately and on time. Staff Leadership & Supervision Provide direct supervision, leadership, coaching, and support to elementary program staff. Maintain consistent communication with Site Facilitators, Academic Coaches, and other assigned program staff. Establish clear expectations and hold staff accountable for program responsibilities, schedules, documentation, and performance. Coordinate staffing and program coverage across elementary sites. Conduct regular staff meetings and individual check-ins as appropriate. Identify staff development needs and ensure required training and professional development are completed. Address performance and operational concerns promptly and elevate significant personnel matters to the Executive Director. School, Family & Community Partnerships Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned elementary school administrators and program partners. Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with principals, teachers, district personnel, families, community organizations, and other stakeholders. Work collaboratively with school partners to identify student and family needs and ensure Civic League programming remains responsive to the communities served. Coordinate family engagement activities and other opportunities that strengthen connections between the Civic League, schools, students, and families. Represent the Civic League at school meetings, community meetings, committees, events, and collaborative initiatives as appropriate. Program Growth & Expansion Take an active leadership role in identifying opportunities to expand and strengthen the Civic League's elementary programming. Research potential new schools, communities, partnerships, and program opportunities. Conduct needs assessments and gather information necessary to evaluate potential program expansion. Develop recommendations and preliminary plans for new programs, school partnerships, and expansion opportunities for consideration by the Executive Director. Cultivate relationships with school leaders, community organizations, and prospective partners that may advance the Civic League's programmatic goals. Contribute program expertise and operational recommendations to organizational planning and growth initiatives. Lead implementation of approved program expansions and new elementary initiatives. Program Administration, Compliance & Evaluation Ensure elementary programs comply with Civic League policies, school district requirements, grant requirements, and established program standards. Track program participation, student outcomes, assessments, family engagement, and other required performance measures. Review program data regularly and use findings to identify areas for improvement. Prepare detailed monthly program reports for the Executive Director. Maintain organized and accurate program records and documentation. Assist with information and reporting needed for grants, funding requests, program evaluations, and organizational reports. Communicate significant program, staffing, school-partner, safety, or operational concerns to the Executive Director promptly. Ensure significant program changes, new initiatives, commitments of organizational resources, and new external partnerships receive appropriate organizational approval. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Education, Nonprofit Management, Youth Development, Social Work, Human Services, Public Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in education, nonprofit programming, youth development, after-school programming, community-based programming, or a related field. Demonstrated experience managing programs, projects, or multiple program sites. Experience supervising, coaching, or leading staff. Experience working directly with schools, school administrators, students, and families. Experience working with economically disadvantaged and culturally diverse populations. Strong leadership, organizational, communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, program sites, and staff simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to maintain accurate program documentation. Ability to analyze program needs and outcomes and translate information into practical recommendations and improvements. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and effectively use program management and data systems. Valid New Jersey driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between program sites and community meetings. Ability to successfully complete all required background checks and clearances. Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends based on program and organizational needs. Preferred Master's degree in Education, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Social Work, Counseling, Youth Development, or a related field. Experience in a nonprofit, school-based, after-school, or community-based youth development organization. Experience managing multiple school-based program sites. Knowledge of New Brunswick and/or Middlesex County schools, families, community organizations, and resources. Experience with grant-funded programming, program evaluation, data collection, and outcome reporting. Experience developing or expanding youth programs and establishing school or community partnerships. Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per yearLanguage:
