Job Description

Position Overview Program Support Interns contribute to projects aligned with their academic interests and career goals. College Interns gain practical experience in a mission-driven environment while supporting program operations, community engagement, communications, education, event planning, data analysis, and nonprofit administration. This role is ideal for college students seeking real‑world experience, professional development, and an opportunity to make a positive impact in the Newark community. Key Responsibilities Support daily program operations at Newark-based After‑School All‑Stars NJ sites and offices Assist with community engagement, outreach, and family communication Contribute to program planning, logistics, and event coordination Support data collection, reporting, and analysis Collaborate with staff across departments on special projects Participate in professional development sessions focused on leadership, communication, teamwork, and workplace readiness Uphold the mission and values of After-School All-Stars NJ Qualifications Current college student or recent graduate (within the last 12 months) Interest in youth development, education, community engagement, or nonprofit work Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills Ability to work in person at Newark program sites and offices Ability to commit to program schedule and all internship terms Reliable, proactive, and eager to learn
Program Details Dates:
September 14 - December 4, 2026
Schedule:
Minimum of 15 hours per week (TOTAL 150-200 hours)
Location:
Newark, NJ (in‑person at nearby program sites or offices)
Compensation:
$20.00 per hour

Early applications are encouraged. ________________________ About the Program The Career Accelerator Internship Grant Program provides college students and recent graduates with meaningful, career-focused work experience while supporting the mission of After‑School All‑Stars New Jersey, a nonprofit dedicated to helping Newark youth succeed in school and life through high‑quality after‑school programs. Funded through the State of New Jersey's Career Accelerator Internship Grant Program, this paid internship strengthens workforce readiness and builds professional skills through hands‑on learning, mentorship, and cross‑team collaboration.
Pay:
From $20.00 per hour
