Since 2025, NFSB has received accreditation from the Council on Accreditation (COA). We are also licensed by the State of New Jersey to operate and provide Mental Health Outpatient Services. Our accreditation and licensure are a testament to the quality of the services we offer. NFSB provides services in New Jersey, including but not limited to, Essex, Hudson, Bergen, Passaic and neighboring counties. Job Description A newly created position reporting to the Executive Director, the Manager of Program Evaluation, Planning and Innovation provides leadership in assessing the effectiveness, impact, and quality of organizational programs and services. This role oversees the development and implementation of evaluation frameworks, data collection systems, and performance measurement tools to ensure programs meet strategic goals and community needs. In addition, the Manager champions program planning—supporting other Directors in researching, designing, and piloting new initiatives that align with the organization's mission and position it as a leader in the field. This role requires someone with strong analytical skills, a collaborative spirit, and a commitment to continuous quality improvement. The position includes supervision of interns and/or staff. Specific Responsibilities Program Evaluation & Impact 1. Support the Executive Director to design, implement, and manage a comprehensive program evaluation strategy across all departments. 2. Develop metrics, dashboards, and reporting systems to measure program effectiveness, participant outcomes, and organizational impact. 3. Train and support staff in data collection, analysis, and utilization for program improvement. 4. Prepare and present clear, actionable evaluation reports to leadership, staff, Board of Trustees, funders, and community partners. 5. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and funder evaluation standards. Innovation & Strategic Development 1. Collaborate with program leaders to design and pilot innovative initiatives that address unmet needs and enhance program quality. 2. Lead cross-functional teams in testing, refining, and scaling promising practices. 3. Support the Executive Director to cultivate partnerships with academic institutions, peer organizations, and experts to strengthen innovation efforts. 4. Support grant writing and resource development by providing program data, outcomes, and innovative concepts. Leadership & Collaboration 1. Serve as a thought partner to senior leadership in strategic planning and organizational growth. 2. Foster a culture of learning, accountability, and continuous improvement. 3. Supervise and mentor staff and/or interns engaged in evaluation and innovation activities. 4. Represent the organization at conferences, community forums, and stakeholder meetings. Core Competencies Strategic and innovative thinking Analytical and data-driven decision-making Collaborative leadership Excellent communication and facilitation skills Qualifications Required Master's degree in program evaluation, public health, public administration, social sciences, education, or a related field. Minimum of three years of experience in program evaluation, performance measurement, or applied research, preferably in a nonprofit or educational setting. Demonstrated experience supervising staff and/or interns. Strong working knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods, data analysis, and outcomes reporting. Strong project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences (staff, Board, funders, and community partners). Demonstrated success designing, piloting, or scaling innovative programs or practices.
