Programs take place offsite in Rahway elementary schools. Counselors are responsible for leading their assigned student groups through a variety of planned activities that support program goals and keep students engaged. Positions are available in before care, aftercare, or both. All staff receive a complimentary YMCA membership.

Schedule Monday-Friday After Care:

2:30 pm - 6:30 pm (10-20 hours per week)

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age to apply. Experience working with school-age children preferred; experience with preschoolers is a plus. Must have access to a car and a valid driver's license for travel to program sites. Comfortable supervising groups of students in grades Pre-K through 5. Ability to work collaboratively with other staff to ensure a positive, high-quality program environment. Friendly, nurturing, and professional demeanor with strong communication skills when interacting with parents, school staff, coworkers, and students.
