St. Francis Community Center (LBICC, Inc.) is seeking a motivated and experienced WorkFirst New Jersey Program Coordinator to join our team at our Toms River location. This position supports unemployed and underemployed adults in developing the skills, credentials, work experience, and resources needed to obtain sustainable employment and achieve long-term self-sufficiency. The ideal candidate will have experience in workforce development or social services, strong leadership and organizational skills, and a commitment to helping individuals overcome barriers to employment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess participant needs and develop individualized employment and service plans. Provide career coaching, advocacy, work-readiness support, and referrals to community resources. Develop and coordinate CWEP and Work Experience placements. Facilitate workshops based on participant needs, employer expectations, and labor-market trends. Coordinate credential training, testing, registration, and completion documentation. Build partnerships with employers, training providers, government agencies, and community organizations. Coordinate with the Board of Social Services, One-Stop Career Center, and program leadership. Monitor attendance, participation, credential attainment, employment, and retention. Maintain accurate and confidential case records, timesheets, statistics, and performance data in compliance with program requirements. Represent the program at partner meetings, community events, and workforce-development initiatives. Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Education, Workforce Development, or a related field required. Experience working with diverse adult populations with employment, literacy, educational, or social-service needs. Prior experience in workforce development, employment services, case management, or human services required. Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Strong leadership, organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to maintain confidentiality, manage multiple priorities, and meet documentation deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, electronic recordkeeping, and online employment platforms.
Compensation:
Starting at $25/hour , commensurate with experience.
Days/Hours:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m -4:00 p.m.
