The Senior Healthcare Program Coordinator will: Conduct research and analysis for all Developmental Disabilities Supports Division (DDSD) programs, including the Medicaid Mi Via, Developmentally Disability and Medically Fragile waiver programs; Assist with transition related issues; Respond to and resolving recipient and/or provider issues and/or inquires related to participant eligibility; program information; Ensure compliance with federal Medicaid regulations, New Mexico Administrative Code (NMAC), Developmental Disabilities Supports Division and the Medical Assistance Division (MAD). How does it get done? The Senior Healthcare Program Coordinator is responsible for: Coordinating with case management agencies regarding eligibility status; Communicating eligibility decisions clearly and professionally; Interpreting Medicaid regulations, NMAC, DDSD standards, and waiver requirements; Ensuring compliance with CMS Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) regulations; Participating in audits and quality assurance activities; Identifying potential compliance issues and recommend corrective action; Serving as a liaison between DDSD and Medical Assistance Division (MAD), Case Management Agencies, providers and families. Who are the customers? Mi Via Waiver participants; Developmental Disabilities Waiver participants; Medically Fragile Waiver participants; DDSD Case Management System; DDSD Waiver Providers. Ideal Candidate Mi Via Waiver participants; Developmental Disabilities Waiver participants; Medically Fragile Waiver participants; DDSD Case Management System; DDSD Waiver Providers. Minimum Qualification Associate degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Statistics, Finance, or a related field and two (2) years of experience with a public assistance program, medical, healthcare, educational, or state facility working with policies and procedures, conducting analysis/research, providing or requesting information from the general public, working with communities, working on health or social service related matters, social work/case management, behavioral health, and/or health care. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling four (4) years may substitute for the required education and experience. Employment Requirements Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive a Defensive Driving Course Certificate as a condition of continued employment within 45 days of employment. Travel may be required with some occasional overnight stays. Successful completion of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Working Conditions Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT), extensive personal computer and phone usage.
