  • Full-time Employment Program Coordinator Position Summary The Employment Program Coordinator position will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating employment related services for individuals with disabilities, including but not limited to, Project SEARCH, Supported Employment and Employ UCP.
The role involves developing job opportunities, collaborating with employers, and supporting clients with gaining and maintaining employment. The coordinator will also assist in orientation for new clients, helps conducts workshops and provides on-going case management and retention support to clients as they enter the workforce. This position will manage a team of job coaches and other staff to ensure clients are receiving the necessary skills to prepare for the world of competitive employment. Essential Functions
  • Develop employment plans for clients, including goals and objectives to help clients reach their vocational goals.
  • Create and maintain client program files, including case notes on all client activities, and writing.
  • Provide job readiness skills training, such as resume building, interviewing skills, and job search techniques, through classroom style teaching in group settings or independently.
  • Assist with career counseling, case management, and job coaching, including, coordinate job skills trainings, arrange interviews with employers and work one on one with clients on job retention issues.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with prospective employers to create job opportunities for clients.
  • Conduct new client orientation to the program.
  • Assist with arranging job coaching and/or on the job support as needed for clients to retain employment.
  • Educate and support to employers as agreed upon by clients, which may include negotiation job accommodations, follow along contact with the employer, or sensitivity training.
  • Recruit clients that would be best suited for the employment programming and ensure all necessary documentation is completed. Maintains open lines of communication with clients, other staff, management and appropriate program stakeholders.
  • Other job duties as assigned. Required Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid photo ID and proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Must have a bachelor's degree in human service field with at least 1 year of experience working with people with disabilities.
  • Must have a safe, reliable and insured vehicle and a valid driver's license
  • Must have a history of being punctual and reliable
  • Must have the ability to use technology, such as office software applications (Word, Excel) and internet searches
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team and individually.
  • Capability to work in a fast paced and professional environment. Relationships
  • Reports directly to Program Director Classification and Required Conditions of Employment
  • Full-Time, Non-Exempt position
  • Successful completion of a Criminal Background Check
  • First Aid and CPR certification, company will provide, if you do not already have.
  • Shift hours are typically Monday through Friday, 8:30am until 5:00pm, but must be flexible to include weekends, early mornings, evenings and perhaps graveyard dependent upon client needs.
  • Must submit a valid copy of their driver's license and valid car insurance
