Position:
Works with communities throughout the county to recruit and support volunteers for meal delivery, kitchen production and other areas. Create and maintains public relations and program educational materials. Support the OCO Mission to help people, support communitiesd and change lives.JOB SUMMARY

Works independently throughout the program to provide support in a variety of areas to assist in overall operations and quality services. Works with communities throughout the county to recruit and support volunteers for meal delivery, kitchen production and the Ombudsmen Program.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: Oversees the volunteer component of the program and acts as a liaison for all program volunteers. Recruits, supports and trains all program volunteers including. Develops tools to assist in making the jobs of volunteers' flow smoothly and efficiently including forms, communication tools, route/client descriptions and notebooks. Oversees the meal counts; ensures calls are handled from sites and counts are compiled and faxed to kitchens for cancellations, re-starts and new clients. Contributes to quality assurance measures such as following up on services related client concerns. Makes referrals to the Office for the Aging regarding client concerns, absences, etc. raised by drivers or others; documents contacts and maintains files. Makes daily contact with the Office for the Aging regarding program/client activities and concerns. Completes intakes for Long Term Home Health Care and Self-Pay participants; coordinates Food-Stamps Adds/deletes participants from drivers' routes and determines proper placement on a route. Maintains accurate route descriptions with directions and client information in route notebook. Acts in the capacity of Summer Feeding Monitor in the summer months; carries out duties according to the summer feeding regulations and job description. Presents health and welfare presentations at each meal site according to periodic schedule and regulations. Completes required agency reports and client documentation. Attends meetings and training as requested for skill enhancement and maintenance. Assists in Public Relations efforts on behalf of the program. Participates in Agency committees and work groups as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned relating to overall program operations and services. Performs volunteer and meal delivery duties in the absence of primary driver in urgent situations. Conducts community outreach to increase participation in feeding programs including home visits for determining eligibility and referral to other support services, as time allows.JOB REQUIREMENTS
: Must have the ability to establish positive relationships with community partners and the general public. Must have the ability to conduct self with integrity in a professional manner in a team setting. Must have the ability to prepare complete and accurate reports. Must have and develop knowledge of the resources and geography of the county. Must have ability to work independently according to daily schedule with a flexibility to meet program needs. Must be skilled in the use of computers and software programs. Must have good organizational and time management skills to complete tasks independently. Must exercise be able to exercise independent judgement, solve routine problems and gain cooperation of others. Must possess excellent oral and written skills, communication skills including good interpersonal skills. Must maintain at all confidentiality at all times with regard to Agency, employee and client information. Must have a valid NYS Driver's License with good driving record and have access to a reliable for travel throughout the county and must maintain Agency Driver Certification for personal and Agency vehicles. Must readily acquire familiarity with the function of Agency, State and Federal Organizations Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 lbs. regularly.Minimum Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Human Service related field with related experience; and 1-3 years human services experience preferably with the elderly; or Any equivalent combination of experience, training and education. Family Development Training/Credential and leadership skills preferred.
