PartTime The Ag in the Classroom Educator will provide coordination and program delivery to the students in the school districts who contract with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Delaware County. Program responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, coordination of educational activities and events, ordering of sufficient supplies and providing required financial tracking, and delivering programming to students within the classroom setting.IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS

This position is a part-time non-exempt position, 20 hours per week, 50% FTE. The hourly rate for this position is $20.00 to $25.13 commensurate with experience. This position, based on eligibility, offers a comprehensive benefit package, to include: health and dental insurance, retirement, vacation, sick and personal leave. Sponsorship for employment visa status is not available for this position.POSITION INFORMATION
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in related field. (Associate's Degree in relevant field and two (2) years' transferrable program experience may substitute for a Bachelor's Degree.) Experience relevant to the role of the position. Travel Requirements- Ability to meet the regular travel requirements associated with this position. A valid NYS driver's license with the ability to drive and driving record acceptable for Association insurance coverage are required. Transports youth participants to youth showcase events, trips, etc. Ability to work flexible hours, within the regular school calendar, as appropriate. Coordination Skills
- Ability to effectively coordinate program efforts including data management and reporting, scheduling and coordinating programs and events, compiling and maintaining materials and resources, following financial reporting requirements. Program Skills
- Ability to effectively delivery related programs and trainings. Serve as an effective resource for program participants. Maintain program participant data confidentiality. Ability to effectively participate in professional team efforts. Communication & Marketing Skills
- Ability to effective communicate verbally and in writing with program participants, volunteers, employees and others through a variety of media. Ability to relate effectively to co-workers, advisors, community and professional leaders. Computer Skills
- Proficiency or ability to learn and effectively use software including use of the internet, program related software, educational content delivery apps, and Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Excel. Work Environment

Preferred Qualifications:
Degree or coursework in agriculture, education, human/youth development, or related topic area. Experience with Cooperative Extension or other similar educational organizations. Ability to initiate, plan, organize, implement, teach, and evaluate educational programs. Ability to identify and utilize program resources from the organization and the community.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Responsibilities:
Delivery, Evaluation and Applied Research- 80% Deliver high quality educational programs utilizing established resources and materials to address identified programming priorities.
Administrative Responsibilities:
Direction and Management- 5% Provide low complexity administrative tasks in the planning of educational programs.
- 10% Apply existing subject matter knowledge to compile and maintain teaching materials.
- 5% In cooperation with Supervisor and/or Executive Director, jointly develop and pursue a professional development plan as a means to increase competencies relative to position accountabilities and to address changes and Association priorities. Collaborate in activities that are in general support of Cornell Cooperative Extension and perform other duties as assigned. Health and Safety
