Program Director NAMI Summit County Akron, OH Job Details Full-time $52,000 - $65,000 a year 1 day ago Benefits 401(k) Paid time off Flexible schedule Qualifications Microsoft Word Teamwork Microsoft Excel Microsoft Outlook Presentation software Volunteer management Program development Databases Administrative experience Full Job Description Job Summary The Program Director is responsible for the successful delivery of NAMI Summit County's Signature Education Programs and Support Groups, and Human Services Programs, including volunteer recruitment and engagement for programming, and support groups. The role ensures program fidelity, high quality delivery, data integrity and alignment with funder expectations are met. The Program Director plays a crucial role in assisting strategic growth and development of the organization, contributing to its expansion of collaborative relationships, outreach efforts, volunteer engagement and administrative tasks to support the overall financial health and esteemed reputation held by NAMI Summit County. The Program Director reports directly to the Executive Director. The Program Director is a full-time exempt position requiring 40 hours weekly. Duties Administration Supports the mission of NAMI Summit County Assists with incoming phone calls and emails, demonstrating responsiveness and the ability to make informed referrals Sustains and enhances ongoing marketing initiatives, which include managing social media presence, creating monthly newsletters, maintaining local media relationships, and ensuring the upkeep of the organization's website Collaborates in the formulation and execution of strategic plans Make referrals to all NAMI educational programming and encourage participation in NAMI related functions Education and Outreach Coordinates and attends outreach/tabling events Assists with developing and delivering mental health education to various, assigned groups Assist in the creation of social media campaigns that help to promote the organization's mission Assists with annual events including but not limited to NAMIWalks Kickoff, NAMIWalks and May Luncheon Programming and Volunteer Expectation Coordinates the facilitation of NAMI Signature Education programs including/but not limited to: Family-to-Family (F2F), Family Support Group (FSG), Peer Support Groups (Connection), Peer-to-Peer (P2P), Ending the Silence (ETS), Basics (online), Homefront (online) Teach and facilitate as necessary - F2F and FSG or P2P and Connection facilitator training is required Regularly communicate with facilitators to ensure adequate staffing for NAMI Signature Programs Coordinate and track ALL necessary training for volunteer facilitators and employees Manage and provide support for staff and program leaders/facilitators, with a focus on following up Manage all functions of volunteer recruitment and engagement Maintain current teacher and support group facilitator databases, wait list, tracking/dashboard and reporting for grant requirements Ensure fidelity with NAMI Standards of Excellence for all program requirements, quality, and goals Manage use of NAMI's Extranet and support volunteers in its use Gather and report data regularly and accurately Maintain Summit County Dashboard for all programs Respond to all incoming education/project related phone calls and e-mail inquiries Assist in editing and preparing educational and training materials, correspondence and other written program/project materials as needed Attend all NAMI Summit County Program Committee meetings Management of NAMI Summit County's unique Human Services programs include but not limited to: Needy Soles, Reedy Housewarming, Haircare, Creative Kids Collect applications and input data for all applicants of each program Ensure that each applicant meets the required criteria for the program Ensure that the application is filled out completely Suggest to NAMI Program Committee Chair, any modifications to programs as needed. Build and maintain collaborative relationships with referring agencies Miscellaneous Perform other duties as needed/assigned to assist with successful day-to-day operations Requirements Previous experience in program development, program management and/or training implementation, facilitation, and public speaking Basic knowledge of mental health conditions, treatments, recovery, Summit County mental health care systems and an interest in learning more Highly organized and detail oriented; self-motivated Ability to work some evenings and weekends as needed Collaborative working style with ability to relate and work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds Outstanding analytical skills, ability to think strategically and work effectively independently as well as in a team centered environment Executes organizational priorities with consistency, ensuring tasks and initiatives are completed effectively and in alignment with strategic direction Exhibit superior communication skills, both oral and written
