Job Description

Job purpose The Program Specialist will be expert in understanding therapeutic schools programming by supporting Clinical Supervisors and Clinical Associates with management of records, documentation compliance, data gathering, social-emotional program development and administrative tasks assigned by Sr. Director, Clinical Services. Duties and responsibilities
  • Complete targeted record reviews as determined by QA and Sr. Director, Clinical Services
  • Participate in clinical role group meetings, new ATC cohorts and site-based meetings with newly hired providers to ensure compliance with group and individual service records
  • Work with site-based clinical departments to uphold documentation compliance including completion of intake packets, resolution of failed activities, development of individual service plans and submission of Ohio Scales Evaluate efficacy and fidelity in use of existing and potential SEL programs Run and distribute reports related to clinical documentation to program leaders Meet with leadership teams to review outcomes and collaborate to improve performance Work collaboratively with various departments at Central Office to improve outcomes for therapeutic school programs Qualifications Bachelor's degree required, mental health license required Knowledge and understanding of mental health diagnoses, symptomatology and treatment programming of children/youth.
Experience working with behaviorally/emotionally challenged children/youth. Communicate accurately and effectively, both written and orally. Experience working in electronic health records, excel spreadsheets, and other applications with successful history in records management/productivity oversight in therapeutic schools. Demonstrate effective decision-making skills and utilize good judgment. Work professionally, effectively, and collaboratively with others. Physical requirements Ability to participate in physical interventions, when necessary, and with fidelity to the methods taught through the Therapeutic Crisis Intervention model. Physical interventions require intense physical exertion. The object is to safely control/maintain a struggling and aggressive young person ranging from 50 - 250+ pounds. Physical requirements include, but are not limited to: kneeling, possibly for extended periods of time on hard surfaces, bending, twisting, and holding. Ability to participate in the outdoor education activities and field trips. Ability to use a computer. Ability to move around the classroom/center and sit for more than an hour at a time. Ability to meet driver eligibility standards and operate an agency leased vehicle. Direct reports
