We make sure every person has a chance to present their case and receive a clear, timely decision regarding their appeal. BSH serves individuals who receive Medicaid, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Ohio Works First, Child Care, Child Support, Adoption Assistance, and Prevention Retention and Contingency. What You Will Do Create, update, and maintain training materials including manuals, presentations, desk aids, e-learning modules, and reference documents to ensure alignment with current BSH policies and procedures. Deliver comprehensive training for new BSH employees, providing role-specific instruction across hearing support staff processes, including request initiation, pre-hearing resolution, scheduling, reinstatements and closures, compliance, and quality control review. Train staff to use the Hearing and Appeals Tracking System (HATSX), Ohio Benefits Worker Portal (OB), Statewide Automated Child Welfare System (SACWIS), Support Enforcement Tracking System (SETS), and Tableau production dashboards. Conduct refresher and re-training sessions to ensure staff remain current with changing policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Facilitate engaging training sessions using effective adult-learning strategies and instructional best practices. Perform quality control reviews of employee work to assess compliance with standards, identify training gaps, and recommend corrective actions; provide coaching and feedback based on review findings. Serve as a knowledgeable resource to BSH staff by answering questions, clarifying procedures, and offering guidance on best practices. Recommended Skills Good customer service and interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication. Comfortable with public speaking and presenting to an audience, in person and/or virtually. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Outlook). Knowledge of eLearning training development software (i.e., Adobe Captivate, Articulate 360, Lectora).Schedule:

Qualifications The ideal candidate, at minimum, must have the following: Option 1 : 6 courses in human resources, education, sociology or psychology OR 18 months experience in preparing informational or instructional programs; AND 18 months training or 18 months experience in public speaking or effective communications skills; AND 3 months training or 3 months experience in operating audio visual equipment. Pay Information This position is in the State of Ohio's OCSEA Pay Schedule, Pay Range 31. Unless required by legislation or union contract, starting salary will be the minimum salary of that pay range (step 1, currently $27.92 per hour). These ranges provide a standardized pathway for pay increases. With continued employment, new hires move to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. Cost of Living Adjustments increase wages in these ranges each fiscal year. The current step progression wages are in the table below.
