Job Description

Position Summary:
Provide prevention-based services to local school district and facilitate groups for youth and adults. Individual will be expected to engage with school personnel and students in identifying prevention-based needs. Individual will be responsible for engaging in community events to share information about services offered and how to obtain those services. This position includes curriculum/presentation development, scheduling and outreach, program implementation, and providing data for program evaluations.
Position Description:
Remain current on Prevention and Education standards and ensure the program provides services in accordance with those standards Identify and assess needs of customers/clientsUtilize supportive educational methods that are appropriate to customer and topicComplete service documentation accurately and timely in electronic health recordProvide both prevention and education servicesFacilitate referral to and/or provide appropriate level of careDevelop,define and implement realistic, effective, and measurable goals and plans for servicesCollect,track, and evaluate program data for fidelity and service qualityRecruit community groups,schools and others for prevention servicesAdhere to professional standards as outlined by protocols,rules and regulationsDrive for job duties as assignedOther duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent organizational and time management skillsEffective verbal and written communication skillsAbility to collaborate/interact with wide variety of peopleKnowledge of code of ethics, conflict of interest and regulatory requirementsAbility to provide documentation and enter dataDemonstrate professional dress, speech and behaviorDetach from client issues and view objectively as appropriate to the positionAbility to interact professionally with students, staff, and co-workers
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or GEDBe a Registered Applicant (RA) and obtain Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist Assistant (OCPSA) within 13 monthsof hire date.

Valid driver license and auto insurance
Essential Functions/Physical Demands:
Positional:
Driving in accordance with job duties assigned. Occasional standing and walking. Constant sitting.
Gross Mobility:
Rare climbing, or crawling. Infrequent balancing, stooping, kneeling or crouching. Frequent to constant reaching and handling. Lifting and carrying materials to classrooms, no more than 20 pounds.
Sensory:
Rare tasting/smelling. Infrequent use of color vision. Occasional use of far visual acuity, depth perception, and field of vision. Frequent use of near and midrange visual acuity, and visual accommodation. Frequent to constant talking.
