Job Description:
The Coordinator, Program Partnerships & Special Events expands access to dynamic, high-quality Girl Scout experiences by developing and managing impactful vendor partnerships, large-scale programs, and signature council events. This position builds and nurtures relationships with community organizations, businesses, and subject matter experts to deliver engaging opportunities that align with the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) and meet the evolving interests of girls across the council. From coordinating vendor-led activities to implementing special events and travel programs, the Coordinator ensures every girl has the opportunity to explore, grow, and lead. Through collaborative planning, volunteer support, and data-informed decision-making, this role strengthens the breadth and quality of council-sponsored programming. Responsibilities Develop and manage strategic program partnerships with key community organizations, businesses, and subject matter experts to provide engaging and diverse Girl Scout program opportunities across all council service areas. Recruit, train, support, and recognize volunteers and community partners to ensure the successful implementation and sustainability of vendor-led programs, large-scale events, and special initiatives. Establish and maintain strong partnerships that align with the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, ensuring that all external programs meet Girl Scout standards and support the needs and interests of girls. Provide ongoing support and guidance to community partners to enhance the quality and accessibility of Girl Scout program offerings, including GSNEO Program Guide, Badge Boss, and Pixie Plus opportunities. Design, coordinate, and implement vendor-led programs, special events, and trip & travel opportunities using contemporary Girl Scout program content to ensure alignment with council priorities and member interests. Support marketing, promotion, budget development, and data analysis for council-sponsored programs to ensure strong participation and fiscal responsibility. Assist in developing program marketing materials, including the semi-annual program guide and ongoing program updates to the GSNEO website. Assist with program budget planning and financial management to ensure high-quality, cost-effective program delivery. Maintain program supplies and equipment, including inventory management, order placement, delivery coordination, and routine maintenance. Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and access (DEIA) by ensuring all programs reflect and support the diverse needs of Girl Scouts and their communities. Provide excellent customer service to members, volunteers, and partners, consistently upholding the council's values and communication standards. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in related field or experience commensurate with degree Required Skills Record of successful program implementation/delivery or appropriate related experience Advanced Microsoft Office Suite computer skills Strong human relations skills such as leadership, networking and relationship building Ability to prioritize the strategic plan of the council and execute into tangible actions Demonstrated ability to successfully handle conflict resolution at all levels with a variety of people, including external customers Ability to pay close attention to detail and maintain confidentiality Ability to communicate the written and spoken word with tact, diplomacy, and/or authority when necessary Well disciplined, able to meet deadlines, self-starter, team builder Able to work under pressure of many priorities and deadlines Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and access Knowledge of the Girl Scout program preferred
