The Office of the Registrar serves as the central hub for academic administration at OU. The office maintains the integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality of all student academic records and provides essential services such as course registration, degree navigation, classroom scheduling, academic calendar coordination, transcript evaluation, diploma production and FERPA compliance that support students, faculty, and academic units across the institution. We seek individuals who exhibit integrity, care, intentionality, and innovation.Scope of Position/Essential Duties:
Responsible for evaluating and posting transfer and prior learning credit as part of the Transcript Evaluation team. This role directly supports OU Online admissions, requiring speed, accuracy, and clear communication skills. Perform office duties in support of the Transcript Evaluation team and the Registrar's Office. Maintain files indicating student progress, letters of recommendations, transcripts, etc., as required. Contribute daily to a collaborative, positive, and supportive work environment. Follow all FERPA guidelines. Identify problems, improvements, and errors to proactively raise these to the attention of appropriate management and propose solutions. Provide clear and concise answers to student, faculty, staff, and third-party questions related to transcript evaluation through the Transcript Evaluation email and department phone. Perform Credential Evaluation and post transfer coursework for all incoming degree-seeking and current domestic and international students, to include exercising judgment to determine course equivalencies. Perform Credential Evaluation and post credits for prior learning. Assist colleges and departments in determining course evaluations and equivalencies. Assist the Admissions and Recruitment Team and the Transcript Evaluation Team with processing transfer transcripts for new degree-seeking transfer students as well as current OU students. Act as primary point of contact for undergraduate OU Online students' transcript processing. Serve as ancillary support to the Senior Credential Evaluation Coordinator with Study Abroad credit evaluation. Consult with Senior Credential Evaluation Coordinator and Assistant Registrar as needed. Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
