Job Description
Afterschool Program Attendant 2026 Seasonal, September 2026
- June, 2027 (opportunity to extend) Availability between the hours of 2:30
- 6:00 pm
M, T, TH, F.
Availability between the hours of 12:30- 5:30 pm on Wednesdays. Flexibility is offered
- not all days required. $16.00+ hourly, DOE The Athletic Club of Bend's Youth Department holds an afterschool program each school year with about 40 children daily. We serve youth ages 5
- 10 years old.
Job Duties:
- co-facilitate activities pre
- planned for youth with a range of group sizes.
- foster a warm and welcoming environment for all children who attend our program.
- support youth in building meaningful relationships with peers and staff members.
- guide youth through behavior challenges and support their successes in improved behavior choices within the program.
- work with the Program Director and co-workers in supporting youth's positive decision making within the program.
- create positive relationships with parents and seek partnership in supporting youth.
- regularly communicate with the Program Director about youth challenges, behaviors, etc.
- maintain a clean and orderly program environment.
- attend all staff development meetings and show improvement in the areas in which they received training.
- give ample notice for absences (a minimum of 2 weeks). Excludes medical time off, sick time off, or other extenuating emergencies or circumstances.
- work as a team player.
- show respect for all individuals.
- commit to keep children safe, happy, and healthy above all else.
- practice sanitary standards as expected by the club and Program Director.
Requirements:
- acquire a CPR/First Aid Certification before their first day of work.
- pass a background check.
- demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and succeed.
- have experience working with youth in some capacity.
- show a commitment to respectfully working with a variety of people coming from different backgrounds.
