Job Description

Position Summary:
The
ITS QMHA
Lead is part of the Treatment Team. The QMHA Lead will support children by providing one-on-one and group coaching, supervision, encouragement, and treatment driven support in a milieu setting while under the direction of the Program Manager/ Qualified Mental Health Provider (QMHP). The QMHA will assist children in educational objectives in the classroom as needed. The QMHA Lead is responsible for creating and maintaining each client's file with the supervision of the Program Manager/QMHP. The QMHA Lead keeps a daily record of each client's progress towards their objectives.
Job Duties and Responsibilities :
Program:
1. Set up transport services for youth requiring bus services. 2. Prepare monthly program updates to the Executive Director for board meetings. 3. Support in the creation and planning for the annual calendar 4. Support the Program Manager/QMHP with quarterly reports for DHS and OHA for seclusions and restraints. 5. Support the Program Manager/QMHP with other reports as needed. 6. Develop, prepare and deliver treatment activities. 7. Assist in organization and preparation of small group and individual activities on therapy days. 8. Work cooperatively and assist the Program Manager/QMHP with addressing treatment objectives. 9. Complete administrative tasks, record keeping, progress notes, data tracking and correspondence. 10. Maintain a safe, healthy and clean environment within the classroom and common spaces. 11. Participate in daily briefing meetings of the days' pertinent information. 12. Participate in weekly staff meetings as well as scheduled psychiatric consultations and in-service training programs. 13. Maintain professional relationships with families. 14. Adapt routines and activities across the day to meet the needs of individual children. 15. Assist with educational activities as needed after other responsibilities are met. 16. Support the transition work, in collaboration with the Program Manager/QMHP, for youth exiting the program.
Administration:
1. Work with Program/Manager/QMHP to prepare intake paperwork and follow up with parents/caregivers to have all intake paperwork completed. 2. Request records from doctors, other providers, schools quarterly for charts and to prepare for needed meetings (such as intake meetings) 3. Support the Program Manager/QMHP in setting up the monthly Medical Director's schedule.
QMHA Lead:
1. Provide support and guidance to QMHA staff (including substitute QMHAs) and classroom oversight. 2. Take a lead in onboarding of new QMHAs. 3. Monitor changes to Oregon Administrative Rules (OARs) and other regulations for the program. 4. Work with Program Manager/QMHP to update policies and procedures when OAR changes or new regulations occur. 5. Oversee volunteers and interns.
Other expectations:
6. Meet for supervision with the Program Manager/QMHP on a monthly basis. 7. Support and facilitate the philosophy of ITS and Old Mill Center for Children and Families. 8. Maintain the confidentiality of all client information. 9. Participate in ongoing program development. 10. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. 11. Ability to be on your feet for 3-4 hours during school day. 12. Ability to sit and squat easily at a child's level, sit on the floor or in child-size chairs, get up and down from the floor safely, and be able to participate in "tag" games with a child, or quickly follow a child who has run from class. 13. Will maintain certification (recertification occurs every two years). QMHA must submit 40 hours of continuing education every two years, which must include 6 hours of Ethics Training and update their certification file with any changes (address, phone, email, etc.). 14. Other duties as assigned.

1. Follows established ITS Standards as well as policies and procedures of Old Mill Center. 2. Maintains a positive job attitude including positive team behavior (e.g. demonstrates willingness to pitch in, a problem-solving attitude, positive communication style, leadership & delegation skills, self-care skills, etc.). 3. Reports at regular working hours, is punctual and communicates effectively when late or absent. 4. Demonstrates professionalism when representing ITS & Old Mill Center. 5. Grooming as safe and appropriate for varying program environment (e.g. anticipated indoor/outdoor activities, comfort and mobility, and interactions with families and agency staff). 6. Seeks to enrich self via trainings, readings, or research in areas for professional growth. 7. Maintains a positive work ethic with minimal supervision.
Pay:
$24.00 - $25.00 per hour
